Marshall Park is a 7-plus acre park in the heart of Second Ward. It is known for its man-made pond in the center, creating picturesque vistas of the skyline from the McDowell side of the park. It is a favorite lunch spot for workers in our government district, looking for some sunshine, a patch of grass or a bit of shade. Marshall Park is named after James B. Marshall, the engineer who helped construct Independence Boulevard, and it often houses various city festivals and races.
